Rescue Centre

The KAR rescue centre is located up in the Besparmak mountains, about 10 miles outside of Girne on the mountain road to Famagusta http://https://bettingsiteonline.co.tz/basketball-betting-tips.

From central Girne, take the road going east past the Post Office and the Hospital. When you reach the roundabout, go straight across. This is the road to Çatalköy. You will go through the village of Karakum, then through Çatalköy. Stay on the same road, you will reach a right hand bend then you will start climbing into the mountains http://www.https://bettingsiteonline.co.tz/basketball-betting-tips. After 5 miles (8Km) on the left hand side you should see the distinctive Five Finger Mountains, the centre is on the left, you should see the Kyrenia Animal Rescue sign. If you reach the café on the left, you have gone too far.

The first KAR Rescue Centre was built at Karaoglanoglu in 1997. Due to the increase in numbers of animals and the building of more houses in the vicinity, the centre was re-located to the Beşparmak Mountains in 1999.

The centre is now home to over 200 dogs and puppies and 37 cats and kittens. In order to accommodate this great increase in the number we are caring for, more compounds are having to be built. The existing compounds are too crowded and therefore not providing the best welfare for the dogs https://www.https://bettingsiteonline.co.tz/basketball-betting-tips. We need a new kennel block and desperately require maintenance work on our drainage system. In addition we need a recovery area for animals that have undergone operations. However much we raise we are unable to keep up with the increasing demands that the increased numbers at the centre require.
